General safety awareness
Provide only child-friendly (round nose) scissors
- Never leave craft knives lying around
- Use only non-toxic paints and glue
- Use spray paints outdoors or in a well-ventilated area
- Be careful with drawing pins as they often land on the floor, facing up
- Ensure that there is adequate supervision
